Summary:
During the political upheavals and social strife at the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate in Japan (1855), two parent-less brothers Yukimura Shoutarou and Yukimura Gentarou struggle to survive in these turbulent times. With their only possession being their deceased father's sword and clinging onto the wisdom of their mother's final words, the brothers seek to embark on the Path of the Warrior: Sidooh.

This is an excellent manga, to put it simply. If you love samurai manga, you'll love this. The art is fresh and interesting, the story is original and uncompromising and the characters are unique and engaging.

The pair of protagonists, one level-headed and powerfully driven, the other explosive and nigh-feral, are well-written and the plot holds plenty of surprises. You can never truly be sure who will win a fight until the very last second, and practically no character truly feels safe from death.

Absolutely brutal, you better read the manga because this will have no chance of being turned in to anime. I've read up to chapter 17 after writing this.

Story: The most striking aspect about this story is that when someone is getting killed and are on the verge of dying they are often depicted crying with a facial expression of regret and pity. The main characters, 2 brothers start out as blank slates and what I mean is they are just children around 10-12 years old.
