You know, it has always amused me that people who don't like something feel the need to write a novel about how much they dislike it. Seems to me that their time might be better spent trying to find something they might actually enjoy reading. But thats just me.
Honestly, most of your hatred of One Piece seems to just come flat out of personal preference, and thats perfectly fine. Sure... I could nitpick at your post, point out that there are exceptions to all of your "this happens EVERY time" comments, (especially in the last half of the show where you can pretty mcuh throw the formula out minus the current fishman island arc). But I don't think you, or anybody else reading this would care. Everybody gets their own experience from the show, and some hyperbole is expected, both from the negetive and positive side.
But where I have to put my foot down and interject is when you complain about the pacing, and yet recommend bleach. You think 4 months for a ship to land is bad? Bleach took 2 YEARS to cover 5 minutes worth of content. I really don't understand how you can like bleach so much and have something like this bother you soo much. Seriously, I'm shocked you don't have a thicker skin to this kind of thing. you comment that Nami getting a fight boring you? Soi Fong fought a MOOK! A pointless, non-ranked mook in the middle of their big showdown, accomplishing nothing.
Honestly, I cannot comprehend your sense of taste.
To those of you reading this for an actual review, heres my summary of one piece. It is one of the most unique mangas I have ever read. For this reason, it will either annoy the crap out of you, or redefine your view of manga altogether. But for those of you who haven't checked it out, do so. All you risk is a few hours of your time and if you do end up liking it, you will be very glad you picked it up. After all, there is a reason it is the top selling manga of all time.
