In a word: dirty. I love it. Desert Punk is a surprisingly believable post-post-apocalyptic story of survival for one Sunabo-zu; the young and infamous Punk of the broad and mysterious Great Kanto Desert. He relies on his practical equipment, sharp wits and plain dumb luck to pull himself through any tight spot. He also pulls no punches, for the most part is totally unforgiving, and is sometimes even cruel. The characters are really something in this series. This manga has a lot of action in it, however the real draw in it is the humor and the philosophical depth. Sand punk takes a long hard look at human nature. Greed, lust, life and death, and so much more are tackled in a nearly devious way - through the use of humor. "In all humor lies an element of truth." So it is with Sand Punk. At first glance this might seem to be an action manga that tries to be funny more than serious, and indeed it is.

Desert Punk is easily the most crude, misogynistic, violent, perverted, and overall dirty manga I've ever read. That said, it also ranks among the funniest.

Our story follows the adventures of Kanta, a mercenary with an established reputation as the go-to guy for getting stuff done in post-apocalypse Japan. He's also a notorious skirt-chaser and skinflint, who will do anything for a buck or a booty. His foul mouth and wandering eyes tend to get him in more trouble than it's worth.
